Medical Marijuana refers to using the whole, unprocessed marijuana plant or its basic extracts to treat symptoms of illnesses and other conditions. Thanks to the passing of the 2018 Farm Bill, zero THC CBD is not illegal in any state in the USA. That's right; according to federal law, it is legal in all 50 states. U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not recognized or approved the marijuana plant as medicine though it has been legalized in at least 30 states across the US with Canada going live on October 17,2018.

CBD Oil has long been studied, and utilized in other countries such as the Caribbean and Canada, for its potency in treating many common health issues, including anxiety, depression, acne and heart disease. For those with cancer, it may even provide a natural alternative for pain and symptom management. CBD is a chemical found in marijuana, and does not contain tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychoactive ingredient found in marijuana that produces a high. (As with any other medication, please ensure to inform your Physician of any CBD products you may be taking)O

The usual CBD formulation is oil, but CBD is also sold as an extract, a vaporized liquid and an oil-based capsule. Food, drinks, and beauty products are among the many CBD-infused products available online..CBD use also carries some risks. Though it's often well-tolerated, CBD can cause side effects, such as dry mouth, diarrhea, reduced appetite, drowsiness and fatigue. CBD can also interact with other medications you're taking, such as blood thinners. However the benefits of utilizing CBD do outweigh the risks and ensure you are sharing this information with your clinician or healthcare provider to mitigate any risks of adverse reactions to traditional medication taken along with CBD. Though Marijuana remains on the list of scheduled controlled substances, the FDA approved a medication for the first time with CBD based ingredients.

The body produces endocannabinoids, which are neurotransmitters that bind to cannabinoid receptors in your nervous system.

Studies have shown that CBD may help reduce chronic pain by impacting endocannabinoids receptor activity, reducing inflammation and interacting with neurotransmitters.

Currently, the only CBD product oil called Epidiolex has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration. It's approved to treat two types of epilepsy. Aside from Epidiolex, state laws on the use of CBD vary.

An oral spray called Sativex, which is a combination of THC and CBD, is approved in several countries to treat pain related to multiple sclerosis.

While CBD is being studied as a treatment for a wide range of conditions, including Parkinson's disease, Schizophrenia, Diabetes, Multiple Sclerosis and Anxiety, research supporting the drug's benefits is still limited at this current time.
